Until very recently, my school/state mandated it, so I had to wear one 5-6 days of the week depending on the weekend.

Of course since we are mandated but we are free to be inside our house and walk outside without one

I see more mask wearing by people walking around outside in Hoboken than I think I have ever seen. Even I don't do that although I try to keep my distance and avoid crowded areas. Most businesses require a mask to enter.

I still socially distance and wear a mask where required (i.e., indoors, on the bus) but IIRC I masked outdoors until I got my second shot.

I wear a mask where I am required to, as I am simply not interested in putting an employee in an uncomfortable situation, when it was not he/she that had the idea of a mask mandate.  However, I would never wear one in any other circumstances, and if I know an establishment doesn't particularly care (like our favorite local restaurant, where the owner is always maskless), I won't bother putting it on.  It'll be off for good on 2/28.

Yes, mostly because there's a manadate and a lot of people feel more comfortable around masked strangers during covid. This isn't a political issue here. I'm honestly embarrassed for people (including a lot of people I genuinely like here) who act like tantruming toddlers about it.

Every day.  Dane County is under a mandate until March 1, and my workplace requires/enforces it in conjunction with the mandate.

Yes.  My absolute favorite restaurant in all of Crystal City/Pentagon City (and possibly of all Arlington County)--Kabob Palace--still requires it upon entry.
You are a Kabob Palace patron!?!?!  That is a great establishment.
They know me on a first-name basis.    They never once closed down during the pandemic.

#4 lamb kabob.

Salad

With 4 extra sauce.

That's a lotta sauce!

My tradition for the last decade has been to get a KP veggie platter immediately before going to the airport for extended overseas assignments for work and then stopping there again immediately after landing at DCA from such assignments. I miss those trips. Also used to work on Crystal Drive for a year or so back in the day and probably had KP once a week.

You ever had Courthouse Kabob, right across from Courthouse Metro stop?  Right next to Ireland Four Courts.  I used to go there all the time when I briefly worked in Clarendon.   It's the only place that rivals Kabob Palace, IMO.

I'm scared to wear a mask around in Texas. I don't want people thinking I'm a Democrat.

It's okay, you're a white.  Now be black and wear one and see what happens.
