I have decided to run as a Labor Party candidate for House of Commons because I believe the citizens of Fremont need more legislators who stick true to what they promise and who represent them. If elected, I will fight to ensure the rights of the people and civil liberties are fiercely protected, and will work with fellow representatives to pass a democratic and progressive agenda that will further our region.

I am announcing my candidacy for reelection to the HoC, under the Progressive Union Party.

Platform

Taxes: I support lowering taxes for the average citizen, but increasing tax rates for those making an absurdly high amount.

Infrastructure: I support construction of new highways, roads, and bridges, and improved access to services in rural communities. That is why I proudly voted for the Rural High-Speed Internet Improvement Act.

Leave: I support paid vacation and paid parental leave.

Healthcare: Healthcare should be available to anyone who wants or needs it.

Guns: I support the right to keep and bear arms. I oppose bans on weapons.

Education: I believe public education needs to be improved, and that it is much better handled on a local, state, or regional level. I also support free public college tuition.

Drugs: I support legalization of all soft drugs, such as marijuana, LSD, and psychedelics. I think the best course for "hard drug" users is rehabilitation, not jail. Importers and dealers of hard drugs should be punished.

Civil liberties: I support the right to privacy, freedom from surveillance, and the right to free expression. I will vote against any and all legislation that infringes on these rights.

Trade: I support fair trading policies and oppose outsourcing of jobs to foreign countries.

Public land: I support our public lands and national parks, and believe use of them should be open to everyone.
