There are no standards for Republicans anymore, only "hahaha, winning!".
1. Generalizing all Republicans like this is bad.
2. I have called for the resignation of both Gianforte and Moore, but I am a Republican.
3. Did you call for the resignation of Bill Clinton, Al Franken, or Ted Kennedy?

The 99% of bad Republicans give the rest a bad name.

More seriously, I appreciate that people are Republicans for a variety of reasons but the problem with the idea that (virtually) all Republicans can't be generalized is that self identified Republicans are self selecting. A person is not a Republican in the same way that a person is a women, a member of a racial group or even, to a large degree, a member of a religion.

The vast majority of remaining self identified Republicans identify with Trump and the vast majority of them are genuinely terrible people.
