Arep political lawn signs common in your country?

Lawn signs are very common in Canada, since parties push supporters towards taking one, and they usually set them up and take them down at the end of a campaign for free. In America, it seems like you have to buy lawn signs, and they are less common as a result.

They don't exist here.

I noticed they reached a low point in 2016 compared to 2012. I saw thousands of homemade Trump signs but very few actual "official" lawn sides for either candidate.

Lawn signs don't exist here, but posters on walls of buildings are extremely common.

Lawn signs aren't used here, although some people put the flag of their party in their houses during election times. But, overall, we don't have a culture of showing who we support during election campaigns.

You see them about in the UK - although I only see maybe 15-20 or so houses with them in my constituency on people's homes at election time, including posters in people's front windows (albeit I live in a very safe constituency - Newbury). They're quite common in rural parts of my constituency in fields, especially along main roads - although it's hard to say if that's the view of the person that owns the field or just that people who support the party have placed it there without the owner knowing. A surprising proportion of them are Labour; surprising considering that they struggle to get into double digit percentages here.

I've heard some people say that they've put them up just to stop candidates from other parties knocking on their doors during the election period, rather than to advertise their political views to the wider world.

There were quite common where I grew up in New Jersey. Here in New York City, they are rare because lawns are rare, although signs in windows are reasonably common. Of course, our elections are rarely competitive at the general election stage.

One thing that struck me was the number of homemade plywood Trump signs I saw, particularly in central/rural Florida. It was part of the reason why I was so confident he'd ultimately win the state even if I was convinced he'd eventually lose to Hillary narrowly.

^^^

But posters from the parties are everywhere ...

In the rural areas around here, some farmers put up huge structures made up of hay rolls, with the party logo on (in 99% of the cases, from the ÖVP) or piles of wood etc:

Interesting. Do you have pictures of these flags?

No such thing here. And not just because they are barely any lawns in the first place.

Common, especially on farms right next to the interstate which have billboards for GOP politicians. In America, it's the opposite of many other countries, lawn signs are common while wall posters are much rarer.

Don't have photos of flags in houses, but the flags used are these:

In 2012, a gas station near me (which was owned by a man from a South Asian background) had a Romney/Ryan sign out by the road, along with signs for local Republican candidates. I wonder if he supported Trump too.
