I admit I have yet to read the article, but a clear line will have to be proven between Trump family members managing the hotel and actually knowing about the drug money laundering. The stronger the link, the stronger the impact. Until then it will be written off even by non cultists as corrupt underlings in a corrupt third world nation

This part of the problem is hardly unique to Trump and those like him, or even the Republican Party. (Although electing such an obvious part of the problem to the Presidency only makes it even worse.)
