It was basically inevitable, given the Alzheimer's diagnosis a few years back, but that doesn't make it any better. Rock in peace.

I was blessed to see him in concert during what was otherwise a terrible time in my family's lives. My youngest brother had just been placed in the home and my mother's drinking issues peaked around that time. But for that one night, just days after Obama had been first elected, everything was alright. It's one of my happier memories, and I've got Angus and Malcolm to thank for that. I'm not YUGE into ACDC but I've none the less always enjoyed them. My middle brother learned guitar just to play their music. He's on the highway to heaven now Sad

Edit: The Obama reference was just a time stamp- nothing to do with the general decay our family felt at the time. Today is my mom's third anniversary of getting sober and a paleoconservative is President. It gets better Tongue

Another great passed, but his music will live on. AC/DC is a big part of my childhood, and has been a large part of my life since then. Rest in peace.

As huge a band as AC/DC is (was?), I feel that while Angus (rightfully) got a massive amount of credit and praise for his lead playing and stage persona, the real backbone of that band was his elder brother.

RIP to Malcolm. Rhythm guitar legend!
