When the Democratic Presidents stop being neoliberals only out for themselves. When Democrats get the Solid south back by pandering to racists and idiots. Before 1994, the Democrats had the House for 40 years straight, and 60 of the last 64. Since then they've had it for only 4 out of 24.
FTFY.

The 24th amendment is racist now? Interesting theory.

Glad to see democrats admitting that the 60s party switch narrative is BS, even if it's only to continue calling the south the land of racist idiots (and then wonder why they don't like you and vote for your party)
There are a number of different claims in there, almost all of them incorrect.
There was, to a large extent, a switch in partisan alliances, over the period spanning from 1932-2010, generally, though most intensely from 1956-1964, which are practically mirrors of each other. The realignment of the south to the republicans at the presidential level happened, abortively in 1972, and then completely in 1984. Downballot, it took longer to trickle down, and at the lowest levels of government, democrats still predominated until recently.
The switch of the south was caused, for the most part, by culture war grievances, of which racism was indisputably a part.
By now, in terms of their coalition, the democrats bear more resemblance to the republicans of the 1910s or 1940s than the democrats during that era. The republicans, meanwhile, have adopted the old democratic base from the 1860-1960s.

For instance, in 1904, Alton Parker won 13 states. Donald Trump won 11 of those, and the two he did not are in large part because Virginia and Maryland have become northern states from the growth of D.C.
