Inspired by a debate on the governor board.  I vote for option 4.

Same here, I used to be quite fond of him and he was my candidate for 2008 but things change(just like his positions do I guess?).

Big-time flip-flopper. Totally changed positions after he got elected to pander to the religious wingnut base.

Besides that, he's been a mediocre governor. Nothing bad, nothing special.

A little too partisan but fairly charismatic. One of the Republicans I'd rather see.

Somewhat favorable.  I like that he is presenting himself as more of a conservative but does he really believe in what he's saying? I'm not going to fully embrace a flip flopper.

I don't know him enough to really formlulate an opinion.  I've seen him on TV a couple times though, and I think he's pompus and arrogant, but again, I don't know enough about him.

Thats why I no longer support him. He's abandoned his moderate beliefs which are what he was elected on and he's been pushing right just to be electable in 2008.

Somewhat favorable.  I wish he were a little less vague about his positions on the issues.  If I didn't know he was vague on purpose to appeal to the base, I would totally hate him.  (I understand, though, because of Kerry in 2004).

Somewhat favorable. He seems like an adept politician, he's definitely intelligent... joint JD/MBA from Harvard with no work experience prior to acceptance into both programs. Telegenic, solid speaker.

So he makes a good candidate in theory. Personally, I'm neutral... not enough information.

She never got elected as governor.  She assumed the job after Cellucci resigned, and didn't run for office in her own right because she was so unpopular.

You make a good point, I forgot about that, although I guess you could say she did get elected statewide as Lt. Governor.  But it isn't the same thing.

Swift just seemed to rub everybody the wrong way from the start.  I can't remember anything she did, but I know people from Massachusetts just thought that she sucked.

As you said, she did get elected statewide, but not at the top of the ticket.

...and mitty thinks she'll make a comeback Roll Eyes

I say slightly unfavorable. Way to moderate to get any of my votes, even if he is our nominee.

Mitt Romney -

Very favorble.

He is brilliant, incisive, perceptive, sagacious, trenchant, veracious, ardent, ebullient, eloquent, charismatic.

A natural leader.

He inspires confidence.

He motivates others to reach their full potential.

Once in a generation, destiny calls a great leader.  Perhaps, in 2008, that leader will be Mitt Romney.
