I agree with this
article, and it comports with my own experience. The article does not explicitly say this, but the Trump thing I think is primarily driven by trade issues. And it is true that China joining GATT did a lot to cause factory jobs to go away. Those workers were the economic losers.
We all too often tend to demonize the other too much. I wish that it would all be toned down. Yes, I know, Trump is a primary perp in all of this. I don't mean to imply that I am giving am any sort of slack on any of this. I am not.
