Based on all of the relevant factors that help you to determine where you'd enjoy living (economy, cost of living, culture, recreation, outdoor activities, climate, demographics, politics, etc...), select all of the urban areas (central city + suburbs) in which you'd want to live. That can be as few as 1 or as many as all 80 listed (80 is the number of urban areas with 500,000+ residents). In addition to voting in the poll, post a comment identifying in which places you'd want to live and, if you'd like, you can rank them and/or explain why you chose them.

The poll will be open for 3 days, at which time the top 25 most popular urban areas will be selected to proceed to round 2.

Either NYC or Boston. I have not been to Boston since college. This reminds me that I need to visit it again. After I do that, I might be able to make a choice. I suspect that Boston is more livable than NYC. Manhattan is just so darn crowded, and to get a two bedroom two bath flat in Manhattan probably would set me back by 1.5 million or something like that.

Pittsburgh and Boston are my two favorites but a lot of good choices there.
