Marco Rubio Campaign Ad
In an effort to hurt Greg Abbott and to attract conservative voters, Rubio's presidential campaign broadcasts an ad attacking Abbott by questionning his conservative credentials and by enumerating all of his lies while narrating all of Rubio's accomplishments as President.

The ad titled « Failed Leader » airs in Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Nevada, Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia and Florida.

« Failed Leader » advertisement narration :

Narrator : Greg Abbott started his presidential campaign by telling a long litany of lies about President Marco Rubio's agenda, accomplishments and record and keeps telling the same lies over and over again while he knows very well that everything he said is false. No wonder that many people all around the country call him Lyin' Greg.

He claimed that President Rubio failed to repeal Obamacare. Wrong! President Rubio succeeded in repealing and replacing Obamacare in both houses of the Congress thanks to Vice-President Pearcy's tie-breaking vote, thus removing every single word of Obamacare, including its major mandates.

Governor Abbott claims that President Rubio failed to secure our borders. Wrong! President Rubio secured our borders and brought illegal immigration under control by adding ICE enforcement, by hiring 20 000 new border agents, by establishing a E-verify as well as a mandatory entry/exit tracking system in order to bring illegal immigration under control and background checks on Syrian refugees.

Abbott claims that President Rubio failed to take the advantage against North Korea. Wrong! President Rubio reinforced our defense budget and our entire military as well as our military presence on the Pacific, increased sanctions against North Korea and on international firms that were serving as financial intermediaries to North Korea to fund their nuclear program.

Greg Abbott is the one who betrayed conservative principles and values in addition of having a very long record of breaking promises and failed leadership.

From 2014 to 2016, during his time as Governor, he has reduced the number of U.S. border patrol agents from 2631 to 2240 in El Paso, from 1598 to 1439 in Del Rio and from 1804 to 1670 in Laredo. As a result, crime rate in Texas has drastically increased with a rise of the number of violent crimes from 109 711 to 121 042 from 2014 to 2016, a rise of the number of murders from 1317 to 1478 during the same period of time, a rise of the number of rapes from 8400 to 9858 and a rise of the number of robberies from 31 021 to 33 317. Even after ISIS orchestrated its first terrorist attack on the U.S. soil in Garland, Texas, on May 3 2015, Governor Abbott kept reducing the number of U.S. border patrol agents in Texas, which diminished security in Texas as well as all across the nation. Governor Abbott is weak on terrorism.

While he believes in the union between a man and a woman, he ruled striking down Texas' ban on gay marriage.

He betrayed gun owners by deciding to take constitutional carry off his program during his call for a special session of conservative reforms at the summer of 2017.

As Attorney General, he teamed up with the Obama Administration to allow the government to block the merger of American Airlines and US Airways, threatening 22 000 jobs in his own home state of Texas. So he supported big government until he shifted his position on mergers.

Governor Abbott has broken his promise to bar state government from setting up an Obamacare marketplace/exchange.

He also broke his promise to reduce Texas' property taxes because of his failure to pass it at the Texas House of Representatives and as a consequence, Texas taxpayers are paying more taxes for property because of Governor Abbott's failure and lack of leadership.

Don't fall into Governor Abbott's lies. Don't let him fool you.

Unlike Greg Abbott, President Rubio has always and will always tell you the truth no matter what and he will keep getting America forward through free market, stronger military and stronger national unity. Unlike Greg Abbott, President Rubio has always and will always stand for conservative values.

The choice : failed leadership and record of broken promises or proven leadership and record of accomplishments that defended our prosperity, our security, our freedom and our values.

Marco Rubio : I'm Marco Rubio and I approve this message.

Marco Rubio's response to Justin Amash in Las Vegas, Nevada

Congressman Amash, you're the one who should stop distorting the truth because the bill I was emtioning was H.R. 2278, not H.R. 2219. I think he doesn't know his own record anymore. H.R. 2278 was a bill that would have prohibited funds appropriated to the Department of Defense from being used by the American military in support of NATO Operation Unified Protector in Libya. And you were among the 238 congressmen who voted NAY on this bill on June 24 2011. So you opposed limiting the use of funds in support of NATO operations in Libya even though you opposed our military intervention in Libya. So yes you shifted your position on military spending and if you say otherwise, you're the one who is lying. Combined with your willingness to say or do anything to win votes, your foreign policy agenda demonstrated that you can't be trusted to lead this country and to keep it safe.

When it comes to Iraq, let me remind you, Congressman, that ISIS exists because of a schism from Al-Qaeda and because of our early withdrawal that created a vaccuum fulfilled by ISIS. What you don't seem to understand is that Saddam Hussein gave sancturay to some of the worst radical Islamic terrorists. He had given sanctuary to Abu Nidal, Abu Abbas (who was directly responsible for the death of Leon Klinghoffer, an American Jew abroad the Achille Lauro) and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, a Jama'at al-Tawhid wal-Jihad terrorist who was involved in the millennium plot, a terrorist attempt to commit bombing attacks against tourist sites in Jordan as well as against the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and the USS The Sullivans in the context of millennium celebrations. After that, al-Zarqawi trained jihadists in Pakistan and Afghanistan. After 2001, he flew to Iraq and Saddam Hussein gave him sanctuary and even rejected requests from Jordan to hand over al-Zarqawi, which proved him to be a sponsor of terrorism and made Iraq a safe place for jihadists. He was responsible for the 2005 bombing of three hotels in Amman, Jordan. But after we toppled Saddam Hussein, Iraq was no longer a safe haven for terrorism and we finally killed al-Zarqawi in 2006.

So if we pursue our efforts against ISIS, we're finally going to wipe them off the map. It won't be done under any of my democratic opponents. Thanks to the courage of our troops and thanks to our alliances, we will find Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and bring him to justice and we will defeat ISIS and restore peace, stability and freedom in Syria and Iraq. Peace requires strength and that's exactly what we are giving and that's how we're going to win this fight against terrorism.

Thank you. God bless America.

[Crowd loudly cheers, applauds and chants USA! USA! USA!]

Update 1: July 15-July 22, 2019

The Race for the White House is underway! President Rubio has announced his bid for reelection, amid what some analysts have described as a mediocre firs term of accomplishment. However, the incumbent President has not been deterred. He has come out strong against his Republican rivals and seems to be making the election a choice, rather than a referendum on his administration; a strategy which has been employed by both George Bush and Barack Obama in recent memory.

Current Endorsements for Pres. Rubio:
- Michael Reagan
- Ted Cruz
- Clint Eastwood
- Lindsey Graham
- Club for Growth
- Joni Ernst
- Rick Perry
- Scott Walker

As for Rubio's Republican rivals, the two top contenders are seen as Texas Governor Gregg Abott and Congressman Justin Amash. Abbott, seeking to positions himself as the conservative alternative has sought to contrast himself with the President, particularly on the issue of immigration. He has nabbed a few key early endorsements from Former New Mexico Governor Susanna Martinez and Arizona Governor Doug Ducey. He has also received the backing of his states senior senator John Cornyn, while the junior Senator Ted Cruz has backed the President.

Like many conservative underdogs, Abbott seems to staking his campaign entirely on the Iowa Caucuses. A strong showing, or even a win could boost his campaign for the Presidency.

Justin Amash, as expected is running as the libertarian candidate, and is hoping to peel away millennial voters who broke for the President in 2016. Pundits see his best shot lies with an upset in New Hampshire, a state which currently has a Republican Governor, and a strong libertarian bent. Currently, he has received the endorsements from 2016 Independent nominee and former Congressman Ron Paul and Former Congressman Thomas Massie.

The other candidate seeking the Republican nomination is David Duke. His candidacy is largely seen as a white nationalism, masquerading as populism. He has been rebuked by the RNC as a serious candidate for the Presidency, and there is a question over whether or not he will be allowed to appear at Republican Primary debates. That being said, Duke continues to draw large crowds and is showing strong support in a recent Fox News South Carolina Primary Poll.

Republican Primary Poll: Fox News
Marco Rubio: 70%
Gregg Abbott: 11%
Justin Amash: 6%
David Duke: 2%

Iowa Caucuses Poll: Fox News
Marco Rubio: 72%
Gregg Abbott: 13%
Justin Amash: 3%
David Duke: 1%

New Hampshire Primary Poll: Fox News
Marco Rubio: 69%
Gregg Abbott: 9%
Justin Amash: 8%
David Duke: <1%

South Carolina Primary Poll: Fox News
Marco Rubio: 68%
Gregg Abbott: 9%
David Duke: 7%
Justin Amash: 2%

Nevada Caucuses Poll: Fox News
Marco Rubio: 77%
Gregg Abbott: 5%
Justin Amash: 2%
David Duke: 1%

On the Democratic side, Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown continues to lead the pack, but his lead is seen as a fragile, and given the diversity of the field it is expected to be a fluid race for the nomination. Brown, has received the backing of his former running mate and 2016 Democratic nominee Elizabeth Warren, as a Former Iowa Governor Tom Vislack. Other Endorsements include Patty Judge and Jackie Rosen.

For many Democrats, despite his association to the Warren ticket, Brown is viewed as one of the stronger candidates. His appeal to working class whites is seen as a crucial in winning back states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan (all that flipped to Rubio in 2016). However, for many young progressive he seems like a figure of the past, and many are looking for fresh blood to lead the party to victory in 2020.

Two other strong contenders for the nomination are both Senators Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin and Senator Kamala Harris of California. Both are viewed as rising stars, and are seen as trying to unite the fractured wings of the Democratic Party. Baldwin, has received some key endorsements from progressive figures and organizations, which may provide her with a leg up over his competition, especially ahead of the first vote in Iowa.

Another Democrat, who is seen as trying to mold the wings is Virginia Senator Tim Kaine. A mentioned running mate for Obama in 2008, and Warren in 2016, Kaine brings a strong resume to the table, as well as a moderately progressive record.

Other wild cards in the race for the nomination include Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, who ran along side with Bernie Sanders in 2016. Her association to the progressive grassroots wing gives her a leg up in the race in Iowa, but has many Democrats viewing her with skepticism; as many blame the Sanders-Gababrd ticket as the reason for Elizabeth Warren's loss to Marco Rubio.

Three other candidates are Former Congressman and Democratic candidate for President in 2004 and 2008 Dennis Kucinich. A long time stalwart of the progressive base, Kucinich odds of winning the nomination are low, by most expectations, but he could play a spoiler in a race where many candidates are vying to be the 'liberal alternative'

Next is Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards. A blue dog Democrat, by today's standards, he has done something which has Democrats taking notice -- winning in a Red State!

Lastly, there is Jason Kander, the Former Missouri Secretary of State and Senate Candidate. A staunch critic of the Rubio Administration's affront on voter reform; Kander is staking out a claim in both Iowa and New Hampshire, two states which offer him the best shot to gain momentum.

Endorsements for Kander:
Senator Claire McCaskill, MO State Auditor Nicole Gallaway, KY SOS Allison Lundergan Grimes.  Lacy Clay and Emmanuel Cleaver.

Endorsements for Kaine:
- Ralph Nader,
-Jesse Jackson,
-Mark Warner

Endorsements for Baldwin:
Former Senator Russ Feingold. A liberal Democrat from the same state.

Herb Kohl. Previously occupied Baldwin's current seat.

Chris Abele, Milwaukee County Executive. A prominent Democratic figure in the state.

Paul Soglin, Mayor of Madison, which is Baldwin's hometown.

Harvey Milk Foundation. Baldwin is the first LGBT candidate for President.

Equality Federation. See above.

Human Rights Campaign. Again, see above.

National Nurses United, due to her support of a single-payer system.

Our Revolution.

Rally in Lexington, SC

the crowd goes wild!

Hello all South Carolinians! Today, we stand at a critical juncture in time. We stand with a choice over someone to the likes of Sherrod Brown or Tammy Baldwin who have made no real attempts to reach beyond the political divide. Or you can pick a pragmatist who will truly fight for our democratic ideals!(waits for the crowd to calm down). Wise people like 99-year-old 'Fritz' Hollings or Jim Clyburn or Tom Harkin (crowd cheers) have endorsed me and see that my path for America will succeed. I pledge that when we get into the Whitehouse, we gon have affordable healthcare, free college, small business and middle-class tax cuts! And to those who worry about our deficit, I pledge a Harris administration that will cut the deficit by 100 billion. We will do this by fixing loopholes in the tax code and making sure the top 1% pay their fair share! Under my leadership, the Democratic party will become the party of all- rich, poor, white, black, Hispanic. Thank you all and good night!

Statement from the Baldwin Campaign

The influence of big money on national, state, and even local politics cannot be ignored any longer. Big money flowing from donors like the Koch brothers has ensured that the Republican Party has an endless supply of money for political campaigns. This is not to say Democrats are guilt-free either; there are many members of my own party who receive funding from major banks, big corporations and the obscenely wealthy.

However, the Baldwin campaign will not be accepting money from big corporate donors, or from the aforementioned obscenely wealthy. We will not have a SuperPAC supporting us, and the only PACs allowed to donate to our campaign must source their money specifically from small donors.

There are no exceptions to this rule in our campaign. No corporate of extremely wealthy donors will be allowed into our campaign. We are beholden to the American people, not the business interests whose only concern in profit.

Statement from Harris Campaign

Following the trend set by Mrs. Baldwin, the Harris Campaign decided to only take small donations in this primary. We do this for 2 reasons, 1, it would be truly unfair if we won this primary based on one's fundraising ability and not on the merit of our ideas, and 2, no billionaire should be allowed to pick an election winner just because they can. Together, lets march into a bright future of no big money in politics!

Rally in Merimack, New Hampshire - Tulsi Gabbard Campaign

Hellooo, Merimack!

(Crowd cheers)

What a great response.

(a minute later)

President Rubio has spend the last 4 years worsening this country. He has divided people, he has divided society, and worst of all, he has grown the gap between the Rich and the Poor. Corrupt Rubio is a puppet to the Rich. He does not care about you,.. or you. He only cares for those who give him the most dough...

Rubio would rather watch the poor in citys like Concord, Manchester, or Merrimack die from lack of proper healthcare then try anything out of his way to save him.

Rubio may say to this (Rubio Impersonation) "Oh. well we canta afford to save Americans from dieing. It costs too much to save lifes"

(laughter)

...

Well i say to that.. no american is worth less then the corporations that give our president his paycheck.

...

Thank You Merrimack, and god bless America!

(Gabbard on Baldwin in Concord streets)

REPORTER: Representative Gabbard, what is your opinion of Wisconsin Senator Tammy Baldwin running for the Democratic Nomination

GABBARD: Baldwin?

REPORTER: Yes, Tammy Baldwin from Wisconsin.

GABBARD: Well i think she is a good women. I think she has done a lot of good in the Senate for the Middle Class and Poor. She seems to be a firm ..uh. progressive. But ... She seems to be firm on Big Money in politics now, but if you look at her past and compare it to mine .... she has gotten much more PAC money for her campaigns then .. i ever had gotten. She has gotten hundreds of thousands from pacs of all kinds in her past elections while i got very minimal. She may say she want take any Big Money PACs now, but her history says otherwise. And we should look at peoples history before believing what they say.

Marco Rubio's response to Greg Abbott's ad in Birmingham, Alabama

Well Governor, no it's time for you to admit that you're lying like you always do. Governor Abbott has proven himself to be so out of touch that sometimes, we don't know on which planet he's living. Let me remind you, Governor, that our efforts of repealing Obamacare were not last-minute efforts campaign booster because it has been done in 2017, which is far away from the actual campaign. At that time, we were controlling 53 seats and despite the fact that 3 Republicans voted NAY on this, my Vice-President casted the 51st vote needed to repeal and replace Obamacare. Then 2 years, later, when you announced your campaign, you said that I did not repeal Obamacare while you knew absolutely well that it's false. So, this is a lie like it has always been.

On border security, Governor Abbott has once again proven himself to be unable to tell the truth. Unlike Barack Obama, I did reinforce border security by adding ICE enforcement, by hiring 20 000 new border agents, by putting in place a E-verify as well as a mandatory entry/exit tracking system in order to bring illegal immigration under control and background checks on Syrian refugees. After the terrorist attack in Garland, even if you say that you don't have the control of the number of border agents, you should have had the courage to sue the Obama administration for not fulfilling its responsibility of securing the border. Yet, the number of agents dropped after the terrorist attack in Garland. So you have failed in your responsibilities. Meanwhile, I had the courage to do what the Obama administration has failed to do, securing our borders in order to bring illegal immigration under control and to stop ISIS and criminals from entering the United States. And that's why your fellow Texan Ted Cruz and Jeff Sessions, who are among the most-anti amnesty lawmakers, and even your own predecessor Rick Perry are endorsing me over you.

When it comes to North Korea, you keep repeating the same outright lie. We changed everything of President Obama's policy towards North Korea. We increased our defense budget and focused most of this money on reinforcing our military presence and our military exercises on the Pacific Ocean. We increased diplomatic and economic sanctions against North Korea and on its firms around the world. We imposed sanctions on North Korea's crude oil supply (which is the very lifeblood of any modern military), which is aweakening North Korea's entire military. And unlike what you said, the anti-missile shield you're referring to has been successfully tested in 2018 in the context of the North Korean nuclear crisis. Our soldiers, along with our Japanese and South Korean allies, conducted a test for this anti-missile program by launching a missile in the sky only to intercept and destroy it through this anti-missile shield. It has been tested just like Ronald Reagan's Strategic Defense Initiative has been tested and contributed to our victory in the Cold War. And last month, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe launched a referendum, that will be held next October, on whether the 9th Article of the Japanese Constitution should be modified, which would allow Japan to militarize itself in order to fight the North Korean threat, which will further increase pressure. So we are taking advantage against North Korea. And for you to demean the contribution, courage and sacrifices of our soldiers is a dishonor towards their bravery, their patriotism and their service to our country. I guess that in his mind, these contributions shouldn't count because he wants to be able to say that we're not taking advantage in this nuclear crisis. You cannot succeed in this effort if you're not willing to recognize the enormous contribution our soldiers and our allies are increasingly making for our victory and for stability, peace and security on the Pacific. We will win against North Korea thanks to our powerful military strength, to our strong alliances and to the strong diplomacy we are conducting.

You also lied when you say that I betrayed conservative principles. The reason why I nominated Ayotte instead of Sandoval at the Supreme Court of the United States is because I listened to our political base, because I listened to the American people. The reason why I listened to them is because I stand, like I always did, for conservative principles. I could have persisted for Sandoval, but I did not. Why? Because I stand for conservative principles. Meanwhile, you have effectively betrayed these principles by supporting abortion when it comes to the life of the pregnant. We don't solve a problem by creating another one. Meanwhile I fought abortion in all cases, I fought for religious freedom and I fought for the preservation of the Second Amendment. And no, had the merger not passed, there would have been less jobs. It would have cost 22 000 jobs. If you look at Abbott-O-Meter on Politifact, you can see that everything I said about his broken promises, whether it's on Obamacare exchanges, property taxes or guns, is absolutely uncontestable. And I'm astonished that Governor Abbott is proud that Texans are paying more taxes for property. Everybody should have an easier path to property, which requires property tax reform, something that Governor Abbott has failed because of his lack of leadership.

So the bottom line is you can keep repeating the same lies about my agenda and my accomplishments, but it still won't be true. You cannot win the trust of the American people by insulting their intelligence. Conservatism is not dead and it will keep going on under my second term. America has a choice :  a man of dishonesty with a record of failed leadership or a straight-talker who has successfully defended our prosperity, our freedom, our security and our values in the last 4 years and will keep doing so in the next four years. That's why I'm asking for your vote because if you do, that's exactly what we're going to do for the sake of our economy, our security, our national unity and our freedom.

Thank you God bless America.

[Crowd loudly cheers and applauds]

-President Marco Rubio adresses the nation from the White House and announces Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi's death Sad

Good evening. Tonight, I can report to the American people and to the world that the United States has conducted an operation that killed Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS and a terrorist who's responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent men, women, and children around the world, including here in the United States.

Throughout the last 4 years, America suffered 3 major attacks by ISIS in Garland, San Bernardino and Orlando where was committed the deadliest terrorist attack on our national territory since September 11 2001. Several families suffered the loss of their beloved ones. Our values such as freedom, democracy, justice, freedom of speech and freedom of religion were under attack. But the American people is united by its determination to defend its values, its freedom and its national security. We were also united in our resolve to protect our nation and to bring those who orchestrated these barbaric attacks to justice. It was clear that ISIS, just like other radical Islamic terrorist organizations did in the past, declared war to the United States and was committed to killing innocents in our country and around the globe. And so, along with our allies, we went to war against ISIS to protect our citizens, our friends, and our allies. And I repeatedly made it clear that we will never surrender to terrorism, extremism and barbarism and that we will never surrender in front of radical Islamic terrorists.

Over the last 5 years, thanks to the tireless and heroic work of our military and our counterterrorism professionals, we've made great strides in that effort. We've disrupted terrorist attacks and strengthened our homeland defense. But in the last few months, we did much more by sending, along with our allies, all the necessary troops and arsenal to finish off ISIS and stabilize Syria and Iraq. We freed all the massive territory ISIS once occupied in the last 5 years and we put them on defense because that's what we have to do in order to defeat radical Islamic terrorism. Shortly after taking office, I directed my national security team to make make the killing or capture of Baghdadi the top priority of our war against ISIS even as we continued our broader efforts to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat his network. Since then, we worked with our friends and allies to capture or kill, around the world, scores of high-ranking ISIS jihadists.

Today, at my direction, the United States launched, along with our Iraqi allies, a targeted operation against Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in Boukamal, Syria. Six thousand of Americans carried out the operation with extraordinary courage and capability. After a battle, they killed Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

For 5 years, Baghdadi has been ISIS' leader and has continued to plot attacks against our country and our friends and allies like it happened in Paris, Nice, Brussels, etc. The death of Baghdadi marks one of our greatest victories in our fight against terrorism and in our nation's efforts to defeat ISIS.

But his death does not mean that our fight against ISIS and international radical Islamic terrorism is over. ISIS will undoubtebly continue to plot attacks against us and our allies. That's why we have to remain vigilant here and abroad. And as long as we stand with our allies, keep our military strong, stay on the offense, track terrorists whereever they are and give efforts to rebuild and stabilize the Middle East, we will defeat ISIS and other radical Islamic terrorist organizations and we will obtain total and unconditional victory against them for the sake of security, freedom, democracy, justice and peace.

While speaking with Prime Minister Fuad Masum on the phone, we both agreed that this is a great and historic day for both of our countries. We know the costs of war, but we will never allow our national security to be threatened. We will remain strong in defense of our citizens, our friends and our allies. We will remain committed to defend the values that make us who we are. And today justice has been done.

Tonight, we thank all the large number of countless intelligence, counterterrorism professionals and men and women in uniform who've worked tirelessly to achieve this victory. Even though we don't know their names nor we necessarily know them personnally, we are thankful of their work and the result of their pursuit of justice. We are thankful of the work, courage and service of the men and women who carried out this operation. Their patriotism and their love for America and its values inspired them and gave them the determination to defend this great and beautiful nation as well as its values and promises. That's what they did by heroically fighting ISIS in Syria and Iraq and by killing Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi today.

To the families who lost loved ones in Garland, San Bernardino and Orlando, let say to you that we have never forgot nor we'll ever forget your loss, nor broken our commitment to do whatever it takes to make sure we'll prevent another attack on our shores. Tonight, let's feel the sense of unity that prevailed in the last 5 years. The accomplishment we made today is testament to America's greatness and to the determination of the American people.

Our fight to secure our country and to defeat radical Islamic terrorism is not complete and that's why we will give all the necessary efforts to accomplish this. But tonight, we remember that America is the land where everything is possible and that our country has the reputation as the land of opportunity. That's the story and history of all Americans whether it's the pursuit of happiness, the pursuit of prosperity, our determination to stand up for our values here and abroad and the sacrifices that were made in order to make America and the rest of the world a better, fairer, freer and safer place. This day is a historic day that marked another victory for freedom and justice in our fight for the preservation, protection and defense of the values for the sake of liberty and justice for all.

Thank you. God bless you. God bless the United States of America.

Tim Kaine's Campaign Ad

In an effort to attract progressive voters as well as voters who selected the economy and the environment as the most important issue, Tim Kaine's presidential campaign broadcasts an ad attacking Sherrod Brown for his past support to coal.

The ad titled « Clean Future » airs in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, South Carolina, Alaska, California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Oklahoma, North Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont and Virginia.

« Clean Future » ad narration Sad

While Sherrod Brown claims to fight for clean energy and clean environment, his record tells a totally different story. Senator Brown is among the 4 Democratic Senators who voted against the Carbon Emissions Cap and Trade Plan of 2008. So Senator Brown supported coal and has decided to allow the continuation of pollution caused by coal.

Climate change is real. It is caused by human activity. How can Sherrod Brown be a progressive if he supported coal? He can't be trusted to ensure a clean environment.

Unlike Senator Brown, Tim Kaine will invest in renewable energies because our ecological interests are not different from our economic interests. He will establish a carbon emissions cap and trade law for the sake of both our environment and our economy. That way, we're going to create millions of good-paying jobs while capping carbon emissions, improving our ecological footprint and ensure a cleaner environment.

Tim Kaine, for a stronger economy through a clean energy agenda that will save the environment.

Tim Kaine : I'm Tim Kaine and I approve this message.

NHI, can UWS unilaterally claim as many accomplishments as he has? It seems that no matter what happens, UWS is trying to engineer a Rubio landslide. It becomes pointless if he can get away with everything. At this point, why should any of the Democrats even continue when Rubio has all sorts of ridiculous accomplishments?

Agreed. There's no way Rubio has that many accomplishments.... However, I will point out that having Abu Bukar Al-Baghdadi killed is something he can order, just like Obama did with Osama Bin Laden.

Agreed. There's no way Rubio has that many accomplishments.... I do admit, the more he does (and spends) the more it opens him up to Amash and Abbott though...

My point is, UWS has been trying to engineer a Rubio landslide from day one.

I'll just say this...some of the things UWS has claimed seem a bit...impossible. Just my two cents.

OOC : Not everything. The accomplishments mostly depend on leadership. And I guess that anyway Baghdadi would have already been dead by now since ISIS has already lost almost all of its territory on December 2017, so I think that it would have been entirely freed due to Rubio's tough stance on foreign policy and terrorism and since under a Rubio Administration there would surely have been additional U.S. troops in Syria and Iraq.

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/5/52/Iraq_war_map.png

And you know, Bin Laden's death didn't give Obama a landslide, just like the capture of Saddam Hussein didn't give a landslide to Bush, just like the victory in the Gulf War didn't give a landslide to Bush Sr. Right?

Except this isn't the first time. I've gone to NHI over your claimed abolition of the IRS, and he agreed that it was over the top; he said the same about intervening in Syria, as an intervention there would piss off Russia to no end and push the world to the edge of a nuclear war between Russia and the US.

You're trying to engineer a Rubio landslide, and It's pretty plain to see.

I chose someone I knew wouldn't have much of a shot because I knew my ability to commit time to this wasn't guaranteed. With finals and the like coming up I just don't have the time or energy to run an actual campaign anymore. My apologies for such an early exit, but regardless thank you for running this sim, and good luck to my fellow Dems running!
