1. This bill needs to be amended to reflect the passage of the Deregistration waiting Period Act.

2. I must say that I am frankly opposed to this measure generally. We should definitely move to ensure move restrictions on not bypassed via deregistration, but I have long been a deregistration skeptic and if we are going to have deregistration as an active process, then I would prefer not to have ban people from returning at all. Frankly, I am wondering what benefit to the game there is from having such a restriction in place, and it seems to me that we are penalizing people for having left and then restricting them if they decide to change their minds.

3. Frankly, I do not see the point anymore in having such a restriction in place. You can make sure the move restrictions apply and are not bypassed by simply stating such in a bill. We had such in place pre-reset and have not had it in place post-reset. I have not seen any negative aspect, but I have seen people return and contribute significantly to the game in the a manner that would not have been allowed pre-reset.

So frankly, I guess it boils down to this, why should we be turning away anyone who wants to come in and play this game?

Agreeing with Yankee on this one. While I understand the idea that those who leave the game should not be able to do so easily and without consequences, I personally feel like it is a bad idea keep people from the game when we have times where activity is very low.

The game previously not allowing deregistration was probably the better idea, and I wish more were on board with going back to that. since it eliminates these sorts of issues.

I forgot to do this before, but I ask that the sponsor makes a post arguing in favor of the bill.

I think this act is necessarily to make deregistration a serious (for Atlasia) decision - after all, randomly vacating an office causes a disruption to the normal functioning of Atlasia's government, and allowing someone to simply deregister and register again without penalty or delay enables bad behavior.  I also think the measure prohibiting deregistration during elections is good just to keep the electorate known during that period and prevent confusion - all in all, I think this is a good measure and hope it passes.

Members are already not allowed to deregister during elections. Going further, I would point out the passage of the waiting period via a previous act, mitigates the risk of lost office and the effects that it is.

While I respect your opinion, I must disagree with it. I think we are not served at this juncture to turn anyone away, if they are willing to participate.

This bill was never amended to reflect or repeal the recently passed Deregistration Waiting Period Act, which delays the deregistration a week after it is applied for. This bill sets that at 48 hours.

Being ignored is a tragic fate. Also this has enough votes to pass. Representatives have 24 hours to change their votes.
