You mean just in the general election, or in the primary too?

I don't see him endorsing Trump, and I think he'd love to run against him in the GOP primary, even if just for the publicity he'd get.

Similar Prediction: Hillary will endorse trump in 2020.

It’s not based on evidence or anything it’s just a prediction

Cuban will endorse Trump if he believes Trump will win.  He's a billionaire and he wants a friend in the White House.

Donald Trump operates on a philosophy of "No permanent alliances.  No permanent enemies."  Cuban can be his next best bud.  Cuban, after all, is a Republican, and Trump, whether or not he's a Republican at heart, has cast his lot with the GOP.

Billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks. Possibly the most famous owner of a professional sports team in the United States due to many appearances on the news, an outspoken personality, and regular appearances on Shark Tank.

This. Cuban took George Steinbrenner and Jerry Buss' role as most famous owner of a professional sports team in the United States.

I think Cuban is a libertarian Independent, who has liberal views and conservative views on some issues. We'll see what happens.

That's a bold prediction because I think Cuban will support whoever he thinks will win the election. And for Trump to have a realistic shot at reelection, his approval needs to go up about ten points. And no, don't give me "but MUH his 2016 favorables" crap. If he's below 45% JA on Election Day, he's cooked.

Yes, he needs to be above 45%, but at the very least at 45%.

This would be his most difficult problem in seeking the Republican nomination. The Republicans really are still high on purity tests and the major litmus tests, Abortion, Guns, Taxes and immigration are fairly non-negotiable at this point.

He's not going to win the Republican nomination, but he might nonetheless run in the GOP primaries just to troll Trump.

Taking for granted that Trump will even make it to 2020 feels like a big assumption at this point.

Also, when did we get to the point where celebrity endorsements have power?

I mean, Steinbrenner kind of gave away that role by, you know, dying.

Can someone explain to me why Trump NEEDS to be above 45% approval in (presumably) Gallup etc. to win? First, this is not his approval among Likely Voters, who by the way are the ones who elect the president, and second, (as you waved away but didn't explain why you waved it away) he was SIGNIFICANTLY less popular on the day he got elected president then he is today among Likely Voters.

Yes, he will not have the good fortune to run against Hillary Clinton again. His opponent also probably won't outspend him 2:1 and have the benefit of the full throated endorsement of multiple (popular) past presidents campaigning for him or her, while no serious campaigners help Trump aside from his VP.

Being establishment was a problem for Hillary in some ways, but was a boom in others. Far too often people assume that an outsider will just automatically inherit Hillary's strengths as a candidate while magically retaining none of her weaknesses. The Democrats will not have the luxury of running Generic D for president in 2020, and every potential candidate has issues of one sort or another, because no one can appeal to everyone at the same time (though Obama came close in 2008).

And no, Mark Cuban is not likely to endorse Donald Trump, because this would cause him to take a significant hit in the view of many as an 'independent' voice. I do think he is likely to vote for Trump though.
