The only states I haven't been to are AK (2306 mi by air to Juneau) and HI (4255 mi by air to Honolulu) and I'll be in HI in Mar 2018. SK is the nearest province I've not visited.

Well, I've only been in California for a few months now, but I've never been to Nevada, unless you count an airport layover I once had in Las Vegas.  If that counts, then I guess the answer would be Oregon.

It's also an interesting philosophical question if you have been to a state if you've flown over it.
I count airports, but counting flying over is blasphemy.

Kentucky. It and West Virginia are the only Southern states I've never been too.

On a different note, I have never been to any state in the Northeast. Is that strange?

Agreed

More specifically flying doesn't create the same surety that exists when traveling on land. To quote from mob-rule.com which is used to track counties:

Taxiing in a plane on the ground is fine which includes airports. So is riding a train since the rails can be exactly plotted on a map.

Georgia. Quebec is the closest Canadian province. If I still lived in MA, the answer would be Ohio.
