Rocky would have pushed him over the top. Although from the other side of the Republican spectrum, The Gipper would have done the same. Bob Dole, although a decent guy, added nothing to the Republican ticket. Ford should have gone with Rocky or Reagan.

Carter flips Oklahoma and Virginia.
