I favor Cocker's version, but the Beatles version is good as well. They are so different in feel that they don't feel like the same song.

Cockers version was truly one of the all time greats. Although it's musical hearsay to say this but alot of The Beatles songs were garbage and they could get away with writing junk by claiming it's Avante-Garde
