I posted my share of articles from this libertarian mecca.
So I was just wondering about your opinion of the site.

I have read some of the articles. They seem well informed and tend to make strong arguments,  but people of all ideologies (not just libertarian) can write something educated. It all comes down to fundamental moral differences and the "well have to agree to disagree" thing

My foreign policy professor is a contributor to the site, so I'll probably read it from time to time.

Could you disclose what's his name?

What's her name in this case: Karen Kwiatkowski

Oh, yea, I read some stuff by her, including this article just two days ago, Why Neoconservatives Won’t Back Down.
Pretty good, I thought of posting it here, but I changed my mind.

I had my first class with her yesterday, and she is pretty opinionated. Definitely not a fan of neoconservatives or Bush.

Their logic is impeccable.  Their first principles are insane.

I was fortunate in my youth to meet Dr. von Mises (I have an autographed copy of Socialism).

I know and like and respect many libertarians.

However, the people posting a lewrockwell.com are simply nuts.

Their inability to deal with reality is really incredible.

I check there a lot. Ron Paul often posts on there. Pat Buchanan has posts on there some times. I was surprised to find out Cindy Sheehan does as well. Most contributors are paleo-libertarian, but they range from paleo-conservative to at least slightly liberal.

Nothing new really. Still in a hotel with unreliable internet access. Red Cross is paying for us to stay here for two weeks. It will still be a while before we can go home. Check my blog listed in my sig for some info. I am posted info as I get it and time allows. It's a hurry up and wait situation. Thanks for asking.

In your blog is that your house you're referring to when you say "our camp"? I've never heard this term before.

In your blog is that your house you're referring to when you say "our camp"? I've never heard this term before.

This may be only a Louisiana thing. We have a "house" which is our primary residence in St. Bernard Parish, south of the lake. We have a "camp" which is a secondary residence in St. Tammany Parish, north and almost right on the lake. Some camps are completely on the lake. When my dad is off on weekends, my parents usually go there. The only time I usually go there is on holidays and such. A lot of people go fishing or crabbing there.

I think I mentioned this in my blog, but for those of you who did not read it, Mary Landreui's Family owned a camp near us, but theirs was destroyed.

This is a big picture, and it not recommended to be viewed on dial-up. Our camp is along the streets with the canals in between. The Landreui's is at the bottom or below the picture, though I am not sure where. But I hope this gives you an idea of what a camp is. http://ngs.woc.noaa.gov/storms/katrina/24824440.jpg

And here is the main map if you want to look at other Katrina images: http://ngs.woc.noaa.gov/katrina/KATRINA0000.HTM

Sorry Lew Rockwell for going off topic. While I'm at it, here is my neighborhood: http://ngs.woc.noaa.gov/storms/katrina/24715886.jpg That big building in the middle is Winn-Dixie. My house is down the street. As you can see, all of the streets and parking lots are still underwater.

I will be updating my blog tomorrow as we had a meeting tonight with parish officials, our State Senator, and Congressman Charlie Melancon's wife. And hi Ebowed. Thanks for the comments.
