Kamala is definitely seen as part of the establishment, given that she seems to be the choice of the donors/Clinton elite, didn't prosecute Mnuchin, ect. But unlike Hillary, who took anti-progressive stances (single payer will never ever happen), Kamala has actually supported single payer healthcare and tuition free college initiatives. Should she sit down with groups like TYT and reach out, or would it be a fools errand?

FTFY. Yes, she should sit down with progressive groups and give them interviews, as any Democrat should. No, not with TYT.

If Warren and Sanders don't run, she may very well be the most progressive candidate in 2020.

She'll have to be a more progressive Obama to avoid Hillary's fate.

Depends on what 'progressive media' it is.

If it's TYT, absolutely not. They've already painted her as "Black Hillary".

She ought to prove that she can handle the job of a United States Senator.

She hasn't done that yet.

Like Trump ought to have proven he can run a government before running for President, right?

Now, he has proven that he can't. Bravo, you deplorable.

Yeah, the GOP really has no room to come storming in and sizing up the readiness, experience, or temperment of any candidate.....

That's kind of the point, lol. She's had a pretty short tenure so far. Hard to tell how effective of a senator she is.

Does she have the experience for the Presidency when she is only in office for a year or 2. That is terrible harmed Obama, his naivety & lack of experience. Harris will probably chose a guy like Biden as VP who knows the ins & outs of the Senate but even that is not enough for the Presidency.

Short record is better for neoliberal frauds to try to fool dumbs into thinking that they are progressive. With a long record, it's obvious whether you are progressive like Bernie or not like Biden.

I haven't seen a single instant in which she proved incapable. If anything, she's had one of the strongest performances for a freshman senator in a long time.

It definitely won't hurt.

Remember that TYT's founder penned an article in January stating his belief that if Hillary had appeared on TYT, that could have earned her more votes and might have resulted in a different election outcome.

FTFY. Yes, she should sit down with progressive groups and give them interviews, as any Democrat should. No, not with TYT.

Yep.The whole “she’s the  choice of Clinton donors”” is such hyperbole and basically inaccurate. If you look past that fundraiser in the summer she has actually benefitted far less from Clinton patronage  than almost all of the perceived 2020 field ( Booker, Gillibrand, O’Malley etc).

I mean even the article that was posted  about her “ inevitability” the other day literally has one major Clinton/Obama donor singing her praises while another prominent clinton donor said it’s too early for her
(the latter by the way held a fundraiser for warren in the summer and is known to be courting warren for 2020).  So I really don’t get why people are still talking about this as if it’s a fact because there clearly isn’t a concensus.

TYT is just funny to me. Cenk said she was a great progressive ca summer 2016 when she ran for senate ... the minute she was in the same room as a Clinton donor like one time he changes his tune..

I think it’s funny that TYT has it in for her now, cenk said she was a great progressive ca summer 2016...

Not that strange when you note the fact that they're part of the "No one but Bernie" cult.

Actually, Cenk was somewhat defensive of Kamala back in August when she co-sponsored Medicare for all, though that may have changed since then.
