Many people both support and oppose Trump's decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. But, it seems more of the opposition has been because it would complicate the Israel-Palestine conflict or worsen U.S. relations with the Arab countries. So, do you think Jerusalem is/should be the capital of Israel?

I say that if Israel says that its capital is Jerusalem, than all of the city that is in its borders is the capital. That isn't up to other nations to decide.

It's where the Israeli's have put their government and I can't imagine any potential peace deal that doesn't involve them having at minimum West Jerusalem and access to the Wailing Wall, in which case Israel will certainly have their capital there.

That's why Trump's recognition of an unspecified "Jerusalem" is merely stupid rather than a disaster.

Yes, but it has nothing to do with history or certainly any religious "right". Israel says it's capital is Jerusalem, and since I don't see any way East Jerusalem can be handed over to Palestine without utterly destroying (perhaps literally) the Jewish lives there, I see no reason to oppose it.
