I don't include the option "capitalism" because this option would receive almost all the votes in this forum. So, if you have only two options, feudalism and communism, which one do you prefer?

Um... I guess non-violent Communism, if I absolutely have to choose between the two. both are horrible though.

Localized nation-states aren’t awful.

Feudalism's too unequal and communism's too equal. So neither.

I mean Communism is merely a utopian fantasy (whether that fantasy is realistic is up to you), while feudalism was a grim reality.

At least Communism had good intentions, I guess. Feudalism was basically controlling people's lives to make money off of them.

Neither, if I lived in either of those societies I'd probably just die trying to incite an insurrection based on Democracy, capitalism, and neoconservatism.

How about Mazdakism, a free love proto-socialism with a heavy theocratic bent coming from feudalism?

Only if your sole metric is intentional brutality, and then only barely. The Tsars didn't send quite as many to Siberia, but the Okhrana was every bit as bad as the NKVD, and at least the Soviets made an attempt (relatively successfully I might add) to raise the living standards of the general population.
