The Pollsters need credibility help. They can't seem to agree anymore.

Fox has R+2 in a race where Trump was R+28. Yeah, sure.

You might want to check my posting history first... LOL Wink

2/3rds of my posts are outside of Atlasia. So I'm technically a presidential elections poster who dabbles in Atlasia from time to time. Wink

Party registration does not mean that all registered Ds vote for Democrats and all registered Rs vote for Republicans, especially not in a race like this.

Unskewing the poll gets us Moore + 10 or so. Which matches what the other pollsters are saying. That suggests that the reason this poll is so far out has to do with not adjusting their sample.

Actually, the other pollsters are the ones that are skewing the polls lol (b/c they are online polls and they change the weighting). Read the 538 piece about it. Fox News just calls people up, which tends to be a more representative sample.

Now there's a phrase I haven't heard in a while. Hello Dick Morris!

Depends who you call and where. In the case of Alabama, you'd expect a random selection to give you the same distribution of registrations as was found in the last election. That's not what we see here. Instead we see a sample that's not been properly weighted, which means any conclusions you draw from it will also be biased. Which we do see.

Calling Russell County only isn't going to give you a balanced picture of Alabama as a whole. We shouldn't be seeing samples with such wide ranges this late into the game given their respective error bars. Someone is wrong. My bet is on Fox News because they didn't weight their sample correctly, which would explain their systematic error.
