Seeing that there is a slew of continuous Kirsten Gillibrand posts I thought this would be necessary. Who will Queen G choose as her running-mate?

John Bel Edwards, Steve Bullock, John Hickenlooper, (maybe, if he survives) Sherrod Brown, Tim Ryan, or if you're going for a super dark horse pick, Bill McRaven.

Also, I hope getting pre-hyped over Kirsten Gillibrand doesn't Howard Dean her in the primaries.

Why are democrats so willing to nominate a flip-flopper (she use to oppose gun control and Immigration reform) who enjoys throwing her former bentafactors (Bill Clinton) and colleagues (Al Franken) under the bus in a mad dash for personal gain?

The flip-flop part, fine.

The other part, no.

If Tina Smith went and murdered someone, and Mark Dayton then disavowed her and said she should be prosecuted, would that make him 'someone who throws his former collagues under the bus in a mad dash for personal gain'?

She’ll need a flyover, populist Democrat. Sherrod should top her list.

If I where on her staff I'd push for Brown. Sestak and Bullock are also good. Tim Ryan might also be a good choice. Might consider Patrick, Booker, or either Castro as well.

Some of the people she'd vet...

Mark Warner- A greater political talent than Tim Kaine, with advantages in experience and comfort discussing national issues.
Joaquin Castro- Younger Latino who isn't from the coasts, and can pass for experienced enough, even if the reality's a bit different.
Sherrod Brown- Progressive favorite from key swing state.
Bob Casey Jr- Experienced moderate from key swing state.
Michael Bennet- Adds geography diversity and expertise on key issue (education.)

Her ideal pick would probably be a Bernie Sanders-esque governor, but there's basically nobody who comes close to that description. Bullock, maybe?

Aside from Brown, those are going over like lead balloons with progressives.

If nominated, I could see Gillibrand picking someone more moderate to even the ticket out since she's moved farther to the left since becoming a Senator.

Perhaps.

I'm not sure she needs progressives when running against President Trump as a woman with one of the most liberal voting records in the Senate.

I would add

Mark Dayton- Popular Midwestern governor from a state Trump almost won. A history of acoholism and prostate cancer may hurt his chances, but he's a solid pick.
Tammy Baldwin- Double down on the historic ticket and boost progressive chops in a key swing state
Xavier Becerra- Many of the same benefits as Baldwin without the midwest swing state perk but also without the potential liabilities of an all female ticket or lesbian VP.
Ken Salazar- Very experienced, Hispanic, former senator and Obama cabinet member from Colorado.
James Stavridis- if she wants to appeal to the Weekly Standard branch of the Never Trump movement, as well as bring massive foreign policy credibility and someone who can help govern rather than just help get elected, he would be a great choice.

She is objectively very progressive, despite what the Bernie Bros might say.

Would rather support Hillary than Gillibrand. She served 2 years in the State Senate before being handed a U.S. Senate seat. She has passed or championed no major legislation. She is an opportunistic politican

You might want to check your facts on that one.  Smiley
