Of the following states – from which no justice of the Supreme Court of the United States has ever been appointed – which is most and least likely to gain its first Justice:

  • Delaware?
  • Rhode Island?
  • Vermont?
  • Arkansas?
  • Florida?
  • Wisconsin?
  • Oregon?
  • West Virginia?
  • Nevada?
  • Nebraska?
  • North Dakota?
  • South Dakota?
  • Montana?
  • Washington?
  • Idaho?
  • Oklahoma?
  • New Mexico?
  • Alaska?
  • Hawaii?

As a last word, what are your general feelings about the probability of Justices being appointed from states that have never produced them before?
