How badly does Phelps do against republican incumbent Bob Dole in the 1992 Kansas senate election, if he were nominated.

79%-21% or something like that.

There's always some voters on both sides who blindly vote for their party even if they dont know who their candidate is (see Montana Sen 2008).

Also, some far-right people might vote for Phelps, so that should keep him over 20%.

A reverse of Louisiana 1990 Senate elections, with Democratic Party pretty much openly endorsing Dole over Phelps, like GOP endorsed Johnston over Duke.

Agree. Same for Tennessee Sen 2012 and SC Sen 2008.

Dole wins with about 80% of the vote. a liberal third party gets 10% and Phelps gets the other 10%.
