Literally look at the 2016 elections endorsements on the front page of Atlas. It then becomes obvious that Atlas has a Democratic bent with a hard-on for Lisa Murkowski (a fake moderate).

If you're wondering about the WV-GOV endorsement, Atlas backed the only real Democrat in the race, Charlotte Pritt. Jim Justice was a Republican running under the Democratic banner; he ended up switching parties a few months after he won (from Democratic to Republican).

NOTA. I'd say I'm a moderate independent, although right now I prefer the Democratic Party to the Republican Party, because of the Alt-Right and Trumpists.

I am a woke independent™ bound to no political party because they're equally bad. There is no difference between good and bad. I watch Rick and Morty every night.

Edit: Also, don't post the same topic twice on two different boards (neither of which fit lmao).

I'm a DSA member but still identify as a Democrat mainly because I think that taking over the party and changing it from within is the best strategy for electoral change. I'm probably conservative by DSA standards but far-left by the standards of the Democratic Party.

I usually support Democrats, but I hate the parties themselves.

Also;

Hillary Clinton won 47 states; Donald Trump won 1 state; 2 states were tied

I support women candidates, the Democrats run a heck more women than the Republicans do, so I support them most of the time. I usually prefer a male Democrat over a female Republican in the days of Trump, but you wouldn't catch me dead voting for a man over a woman in the Democratic primaries.

What about a staunchly pro-life (ExtremeConservative-style "abortion is literally murder"), staunchly anti-LGBT ("it's satanic"), no-name female nutcase who's only a Democrat on economic issues, vs a standard male Democrat?

First of all, Welcome to Atlas, Soaring_Eagle. I look forward to reading many more interesting posts and comments from you.

As a statistics teacher, I question whether "bias" is being used correctly (though I understand the argument either way). If it is a matter of the proportion of Left vs. Right being different from the national average, I would agree (as of now it's 4R vs. 14D). But in terms of bias in the sense of Right-leaning people not being able to express their views on this forum as freely as those on the left, or being treated worse by moderators, etc.-- no, I do not believe that to be the case.

Any other thoughts on this?

Why did Atlas pick Lamar Alexander over Gordon Ball?

So you support the right of transgender orthodox Jews from Israel to own guns and pray in school?

Well there is not a single Orthodox Jew who is transgender. So I can’t say, Orthodox Jews are very conservative no different from a southern white Christian in eastern Tennessee.

The Atlas Preferred Candidate lost the primary, so Atlas Libs Split between the Dem and the Green Party candidate, allowing Alexander to win with 45%.
