So, would RFK be like HRC or Barbara Boxer, or Durbin if he won in 68?

He would be like Bill Clinton in terms of policy. Both were critical of the traditional New Deal structure of big government.

Hope he's not as too centrist as RB depicts him. Is he a little more left than Bill Clinton? Also, we really should work together on a timeline soon!

Hcallega, once again, we really gotta talk about a TL collaboration. I'm gonna do some stuff on AH.com as preparation! Can I have premission to mention your name as a potential collaborator in the posts?

RFK wIns in 68 and 72, beating out Nixon and Ashbrook, respectively.  He is Popular, and like his brother, he cuts taxes and is strong on Communism, despite withdrawal from Vietnam.  After 14 years of democratic rule, the GOP takes over congress, making room for a Reagan landslide in 76.  He serves 2 terms, cutting taxes and the economy booms.  He is succeeded by Paul Laxalt, who also serves two prosperous terms, culminating in the collapse of the USSR and the election of Bob Dole.  In 1996, although the economy soars thanks to new tax cuts and the successful policies of Fed Chairman Paul Volcker, Texas Governor Ann Richards defeats President Dole in a squeaker.  Because of cancer, she chooses not to seek another term, and VEEP Bill Clinton wins the Democratic nor for pres, but loses to Senator Al D'Amato in a landslide thanks to the sex scandals he is involved in, in addition to Whitewater.  President Pothole serves two successful terms, and is succeeded by Vice President Barry Goldwater Jr
