Current Situation in the Civil War, 1861

In 1860, 9 states seceded from the Union. Following the firing on the position of Fort Sumter in April of 1861, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, and Arkansas seceded from the Union as well. Following this, Union President Abraham Lincoln has ordered the creation of an Army to crush this rebellion ASAP while at the Same Time, Confederate President Jefferson Davis has requested the creation of an army to defend the newly independent states from the Union's assault. It is your goal to lead this Campaign or perhaps try as a Nation's politician and run things from behind the scenes.

RULES
1. Both Nation's have limits and these limits will either rise or fall Depending on how the war is going and how the Nation is Being run. The goal is to put an opponent to 0 as quickly as possible. Here is the meters and to bring War Exhaustion to 100% as quickly as possible. They will be fixed every 6 months in Game.

USA:
Manpower - 100%
Morale - 100%
Training - 100%
War Exhaustion - 0%
Belief in Government - 100%

CSA:
Manpower - 100%
Morale - 100%
Training - 100%
War Exhaustion - 0%
Belief in Government - 100%

One can lower the first three and raise war exhaustion by constantly winning battles and (Mainly for the C.S.A) invade the other for a period of time. Belief in Government rises or lowers depending on how well or how poorly the Government has been doing. If a government (AKA Congress) has done badly in the past sixth, this will lower but if the Congress has done well, this will Raise. A player wins one nation’s BiG, Manpower, Morale, and Training has reached 0%, the War Exhaustion reaches 100% and enough politicians have asked for a peace Treaty between the two.

2. NO HISTORICAL CHARACTERS! You are to create your own custom Character. You can use a Historical Figure’s picture for reference but nothing else. You are supposed to be doing what you can as differently from OTL as possible and you are supposed to do what you think fits the war best.

3. Fill out these Character sheets for either a Politician or a General:

General -
Picture:
Name:
State:
DoB:
Place of Education:
National Loyalty:
Bio:

Traits:
Politics - gives a bonus to men to replenish from a battle and Cash earned from a battle.
Economy - Gives a discount for the weapons you can buy after a battle
Training - helps improve the experience your men can get from a battle as well as how well off your men are before a battle.
Medicine - Helps you recover Casualties quicker
Army Organization - gives a Max on how big your army can be
Logistics - Amount of supplies you can bring in a battle
Reconnaissance - Gives you an idea of the Enemy Army.

(You have 32 points for Character traits and start off with 1 point in each)

Rank:
General (gives you command of the whole army)
Lieutenant-General (gives you command of an Army’s flank)
Brigadier-General (gives you command of a Corps)

Politician -

Picture:
Name:
State:
DoB:
Office:
Party (For C.S.A, say Democrat, Whig, or Nonpartisan):
Bio:

Traits:
Experience - (How well you can do in Congress)
Debating - (how well you can debate against an opponent or how well you can give an argument)
Integrity - (How honest and uncorrupt you are)
Campaigning - (how well you can perform during an election)
Politics - (How well you are seen in Congress and Abroad)

(You have 16 points and start off with 1 point in each for traits)

3. Campaigns are to be posted and a battle will happen when two players who are commanding separate armies via PM with me. They must say where the battle takes place, when it takes place, and how it starts. I will do an RNG for each part of the battle until both players say they retreat leading to a Draw or one player is defeated. After the battle, I will post the Casualty list of it and give you Manpower/Cash from the battle.

4. A turn is 6 Months In-game and 4 days IRL. After a turn, I will post a map with the battles (Gray is CSA win, Blue is Union win, White is Draw) and then I will adjust each meter accordingly to the battles and how well each Congress has done during the turn (Congress will be two separate threads from Campaign threads. First Turn will be May-October 1861.

5. There is a likely chance for your General to die in battle and if the RNG demands it, the player will have a game over and have small POV posts of a battle for the army they choose as a private and try to return to the rank they previously held. Be careful, however, as you can die and thus restart at any time.

6. The biggest Political issue in this game is the war. Use that to win re-election or even win the presidency. USA Midterms is in 1862 and CSA Midterms is in 1863 while the main Elections are 1864 for the USA and (if the war somehow lasts that long) 1866 for the CSA. It really depends on well your allies perform in Congress to get your Agenda done however. There will be separate threads for these to not clutter the politics threads.

7. First turn is to hopefully be posted on Friday along with the first battle of the war. Give your best plans for a battle.
