Post Election Speech
I would like to first off congratulate all the winners from last night which I wish all of you the best of success in your term. I would like to support all of you that came out to vote 1184AZ for Governor we couldn't have done this without you. I would like to thank LouisvilleThunder, Jimmy, Leinad and fhtagn among many others on their assistance during this campaign. As a region it is time we move forward and get down to work in order to deliver a stronger and more prosperous region for all Atlasians. In the next legislative session it is my hope we can implement a massive renewable energy program, and affordable high quality healthcare for all Lincoln residents among other proposals.

As Not_Madigan will be resigning his assembly seat that he won upon joining the Senate I will appoint SWE to take his place until a special election is held. I will make this appointment official upon swearing in on Friday.

I will also be looking for a new Electoral Administrator if your are interested please PM me over the next few days.

Statement on Joining PUP
While I respect several members of the Federalist Party based on both considerable Party infighting and major ideological differences between the Federalist Party and myself I will be joining PUP. PUP represents a strong progressive movement that shares the ideological values I have long since stood for and presented in campaigns along with being a truly great team to work with. I understand if some of you will be disappointed with this but I believe this is the best move for both myself and Atlasia.

While I hate to see you go, I realize you have been in parties you were uncomfortable in for the past three years, either because of leadership tactics or ideology. I hope that in the Progressive Union you can finally find that hospitable atmosphere that you were denied in Labor and the ideological comfort zone that we were not able to provide.

While I am awaiting complete Revenue estimates from the GM office I will be holding off on passing any new spending and instead start on passing Gun Control for are region. My hopes for Gun control are as followed:

-A ban on Bump stocks
-Increased liability placed on individuals that sell or give firearms to an individual who uses them to commit assault or murder.
-Ban on assault riflers and high capacity magazines.

Not really part of gun control but intend to introduce security in schools (similar to ballparks) in response to the latest parkland shooting.

Discord Controversy
Their has no doubt been some controversy over private discussions on discord. It was never anyone’s intention to perpetuate anti transparent practices but instead to make it easier to discuss and formulate legislation and government strategy; something all governments do. I don’t see discord as any different then the NSC or economic councils held on mibbit. All Ninja did was ask if we were ready for a vote; he didn’t motion for one but simply asked if we should hold one. I don’t see anything terribly wrong with this; a motion was not even required anyhow to go to final vote. I do apologize if anyone feels hurt by these recent events it was never our intention to create a major controversy.

Does this make Wells the acting governor?

The Constitution gives four possible reasons, and under a loose interpretation this could fan l under two of them. It could be "death" if not being able to access his account is that. He has endorsed me being acting Governor on discord, which is an acceptance of his situation and could be "resignation".

I must admit I'm not comfortable being that loose, so it might be prudent to try the other methods of impeach/recall. I'm not comfortable with those either because AZ hasn't done anything wrong himself, which those methods imply, but it's probably the best way.

The situation is unfortunate.
