I sure hope we see some familiar faces in this TL. Honestly though, I wouldn't care either way, since the TL stands very well on its own, even if the characters are made up. Keep up the good work

I just tried thinking of what my family would've done in such a circumstance, before I remembered that the earliest family member of mine to live in the U.S. was in the 1950s. So I never existed thanks to the CRA... my parents met after immigrating here. How did Cuba fare during the 20th century with the CRA next door?

Hell yes. I'm picturing Yvette Clarke and Hillary Clinton and the rest actually filling the roles of their pictures while reading this and it adds a whole other layer. Clarke declaring her own hometown of NY free is touching in a way.
