Who is your favorite leader of Ireland's most important party throughout history, those proud republican Soldiers of Destiny and friends of developers & shady banksters, Fianna Fáil?

Lemass, then Reynolds. I would rate Lynch highest without his second term.

Out of all of them, I would say Sean Lemass.

Lemass is surely far better and more iconic than Eamon "Magdalene Laundries" de Valera.

Brian Cowen because of his spectacular failure.

Brian Cowen is like if everything they said about Gordon Brown was true.

All Bad. Although harsh to blame Dev for the excesses of Catholic Ireland which was a multi-partisan affair, criticized by few.

The most important though is Lemass, who basically created the modern Fianna Fail party in all its aspects - emphasis on All. He was sort of the Martin Van Buren to Dev's Andrew Jackson. To take this analogy absurdly further, Cowen is James Buchanan and we are waiting to who Samuel Tilden might be.
