Is God competent or incompetent?

We are told in scriptures that evil begets evil and good begets good. God, as our creator, according to scriptures, creates us all as sinners, which many see as evil.

God can thus be seen and judged as being the original sinner since the fruits of his labor (us) went bad or are born bad.  A tree is known by its fruits.  What else could come from a sinner tree but sin?

I give God a fail on competence for the following reasons.
God created heaven that produced Satan. Fail.
God created Eden which produced Original Sin. Fail.
God had to reboot creation with Noah’s flood. Fail.
God sent his son to forgive mankind instead of stepping up himself. Fail, for moral reasons.
God also had to create hell for his rejects which scriptures say will be the vast majority of us. Fail.

Jesus said we would know his people by their works and deeds and if we believe that, then the Christian God would obviously be rejected by Jesus and agree with my fail judgement.

Do you agree?

God made everything happen, even contradictory things. Good, bad, evil, etc. He's a contradiction, an illogical contradiction. So neither and nothing.

That would be or both.

Strange. There are no Gods, yet many people harm others in their names.

Those who ignore that do not seem to care about others or they would be actively fighting against those non-existent Gods.

If God exists (a highly questionable premise), it would be hard to argue he is incompetent. He has done things no one else can do or even understand particularly well, and we don't know his reasons for doing so. I guess if you believe in the Christian bible then yes, his actions do not meet his stated aims, but it's still hard to declare him incompetent so much as held back by his own self-imposed restrictions and /or nature.

Well put.

I am judging outcomes.

For instance, the outcome God promised Satan, hell, does not sound like he liked her much or was proud of creating her.

The same with A & E, whom God murdered by neglect and locking away what would have kept them alive.

Etc.

Indeed it is hard to make a move in chess when you know every possible outcome at any given time and know that no matter which path you choose, somebody will get hurt.

It is made clear in the Bible that God will only intervene in the most dire of circumstances... that is, in the end.  Because he places our free will above his own.  Only a fool thinks he could know better.

God reneged on his free will promise to man every time he chose to kill us.

You can have your God. Honest men will reject him.

Both Christianity and Islam, slave holding ideologies, have basically developed into intolerant, homophobic and misogynous religions. Both religions have grown themselves by the sword instead of good deeds and continue with their immoral ways in spite of secular law showing them the moral ways.

Jesus said we would know his people by their works and deeds. That means Jesus would not recognize Christians and Muslims as his people, and neither do I. Jesus would call Christianity and Islam abominations.

Gnostic Christians did in the past, and I am proudly continuing that tradition and honest irrefutable evaluation based on morality.

Humanity centered religions, good. Yes.

Supernaturally based religions, evil? Yes.

Do you agree.

And what do you worship?

If anything, freedom of thought. Something your God denies you.

I do not worship the God I know but he is a more moral God than the pathetic genocidal prick you follow.

What is it that you like of your God's competence at mass murder?

I hardly ever use the word "God" in reference to the specific deity described in the Bible but rather a supernatural consciousness/intelligence that exists outside of space and time and is responsible for the first action/cause that led to existence.  With that in mind, I can't really imagine a reality where He/She/It is not "competent."

How can you know that there is a place outside of space and time?

That thinking is pure supernatural thinking.

If you are saying that God is nature, I would not disagree.

If you are thinking of an entity who has condemned his best creation, mankind, to hell, then he cannot be a competent creator as nature creates all it creates for the best possible end.

That is not what holy books promise.

Reality or belief are not the issue. Competence according to the holy book is.

Why not be a simple atheist? That makes more sense than this pseudognostic garbage.

Because Gnostic Christianity is a better overall ideology.

That is why atheists are creating atheist and secular churches.

They are becoming more Gnostic Christian so why should I want to reverse that more intelligent position by going the other way?

If none died, we would live in a stagnant and overpopulated world. No?

That aside.

Do you see creative competence in the images shown in this clip?

It would depend on what god's goals were, which no one could say.

The reason I have a hard time believing in god is that I find it hard to believe he'd go to the trouble of creating the universe in such detail and then be as detached from it as he apparently is if he exists.
