Kind of like those assholes in S.Arabia or Iran that run around arresting women for wearing pants, only less humorous.

FIRE's take on them- FIRE being the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education

USA Today article on them

University of Minnesota's Bias Response Team's website for example

I don't think they're good but then I'm biased.

Bias is not some horrible act it's a basic characteristic of human life and thought.  The point is to be aware of your biases and be willing to reconsider them and find ways to balance biases against each other in the context of social relations and intellectual inquiry. The term "bias incident" is an act of violence against thought and the English language.

The way in which people now have to fear being overheard or reported for wrong-think, lest they lose their livelihoods, is extremely Orwellian. At public universities, these obviously violate the first amendment and should be abolished. Private universities that want to have them should have to explicitly state their opposition to freedom of speech and open debate as a core value of their university, because that's the truth about them.

Ridiculous and counterproductive answer to an incredibly complex issue.

In other words, par for the course for major institutions in the Current Year.
