Absolutely he is a racist.  It's not the odd stupid remark but he shows a repeat pattern of racism.

-  Settled with the DOJ over refusing to rent to Black tenants in the 70s.
-  Promoted the whole birther lie on Obama
-  Called Mexicans rapists and murderers
-  Called for a complete Muslim ban and stated most Muslims are bad people in an interview.
-  Stated an Indian born judge was unsuitable to be a judge in the Trump University suit due to his Mexican heritage.
-  Frequently retweets far right tweets including that of Jayda Fransen of the far right Britain First who is on trial for hate crimes.
- Calls Elizabeth Warren Pocohontas due to her part Native American heritage.
- Stated there were good people in the racist unite the right rally in Charlottesville.
- Pardons Jo Arpaio who was convicted by the DOJ (an investigation started under George W. Bush) for racial profiling in check stops.
- Goes after Black players for kneeling during the national anthem in protest.
-  Calls Africa and Haiti sh**tholes and wants more immigrants from predominately white Norway but fewer from the countries he called sh**tholes which are all predominately Black.
-  Stated Nigerians all live in huts implying they are primitive.
-  Frequently insulted London's Muslim mayor Sadiq Khan.

So yes Donald Trump is a racist.  One of those on their own might be just a slip up, but there is too much of a pattern to claim otherwise.  The fact some people of colour support him doesn't mean he is tolerant.
