Just because he was against the Southern Manifesto doesn't make him anti-segregation, I am tired of people making this enormous leap of logic.

Kefauver seemed genuinely pro-civil rights.  He supported the Brown v. Board of Education ruling.  I think he also would have supported the CRA of 1964 (unlike Al Gore Sr.), if he had still been around.
