Announcement from Phil Bredesen in Nashville, Tennessee on March 12th, 2015

Quote
Hello, Tennessee, it's good to see you all again.

*Crowd Cheers loudly*

Quote
Alright, alright. I know you love me. I love you too. I want to get to the point everyone. 8 years ago, we elected Barrack Obama to be our President in a 356-173 landslide. We gave him our trust for his hope and change that he promised us. He betrayed that trust and that's why, in 2012, we took away 24 of his electoral votes and North Carolina and Indiana didn't go for him. Now look at our country, inside and outside. We have fewer jobs in our countries than we did in the 90s and the recession only seems to be getting worse. The DOW jones is getting lower and lower and companies that have our jobs are fleeing to countries like China because we tax them to oblivion. Our International respect has fallen apart and our nation's standing continues to get lower and lower. What will we do to change that, you may be asking. Well, I want to announce my candidacy for President because I want to Make America Great Again.

First, I want to completely reform Healthcare. the ACA has been proven to be somewhat faulty. I want to change it but not completely get rid of it. Instead, I want to split Healthcare into dozens of 50 separate companies and have multiple companies under that company in every state to compete with one another to improve the quality of the Healthcare. I know what you might think that thinking that this will get rid of preventative care. I assure you, for those who are above the age of 35, they can keep their preventative care package and receive subsidies from the government.

Next, I want to give Tax cuts to the lower, middle, and upper classes. The more the upper class can invest in the economy, the more the Economy can get on the path of recovery. For years, the upper class has been taxed and look where our Economy is. Are you better off than you were 8 years ago? Has our nation gotten better or worse under President Obama? The economy needs to be pumped with investments and instead of having the government  getting it's hands on it, we should let the economy become better and spread out. I promise to give a 20% tax cut to the Lower Class, a 24% Tax Cut to the Middle Class, and a 28% tax cut to the upper class. This will allow our economy to be on the quick path to recovery. A final 20% corporate tax rate will allow businesses to return and give more jobs to our unemployed citizens.

Then, I want to bring up our fossil fuels and our Alternative energy balance at an almost mixed balance. I'd say 52% Alternative Energy and 48% fossil fuel energy. I know that global warming is a real threat in the future. The distant future. As of right now, in the present, there are people risking life and limb for their families and to give us the energy we need for our daily lives in coal mines. These people can do little else and barely make enough to have ends meet. Putting these people out of the job can not happen. Just because in the future, say 100 or 200 years from now, global warming will be a serious problem does not mean that right now we have to take thousands out of the job.

Finally, I want to bring up foreign policy. For the last decade, we've treated our enemies and rivals like North Korea, China, and Russia with kiddy gloves, just giving them a light slap when they did something we didn't like. It's time we stop that. It's time that the United States is respected internationally again. It is time that we as a country and the world's super-power get the respect we deserve. I don't think we like what's happening in our foreign relations and I want to change that.

I will be fighting for you when I run for President. I will be campaigning to make sure you all get the best Nation possible. I love all of you and I want to Make America Great Again. Thank you, I hope to see you all on the campaign trail.

Phil Bredesen would Leave Nashville and would campaign for the entirety of March in Iowa on his policies before going to the key state of New Hampshire and campaign there.

When we have Endorsements and their people, like a Senator or rep, can we post them giving an endorsement speech?

Sure, but let me post your endorsements next turn so that people know that you are campaigning with someone you are actually endorsed by.

Alright.

With all that campaigning, how is Chris Christie so low?

This is the first Turn, everything does not take effect until turn 2. You'll Begin to see results then.

If it's alright, once the DEM Polls are in, I would like to make a primary prediction. I'll update each prediction per Turn and look at the stats to see how well each Candidate may do.

Img

45% chance for Bredesen Nomination
25% chance for Dayton Nomination
25% chance for Sanders Nomination

I think that Phil Bredesen can carry the south if he can attract enough conservatives and Attack Sanders enough. He may also be able to carry several other conservative states simply because he is a Conservative DEM.

Dayton and Sanders, However, will have a slugfest. They will both be seen as Progressives with Bernie only saying that he's a democratic Socialist. If Dayton can hit him enough times on that, he may be able to focus on Bredesen then. Sanders will just have to appeal to the masses and attempt to get the youth vote. All in all, unless one of the two becomes a strong number two, Bredesen could ride to the Nomination.

Img

37% chance of Cruz Nomination
35% chance of Portman Nomination
20% chance of Paul Nomination

For the Republicans, it might be extremely tight, but Cruz may be able to take enough conservatives and Paul may be able to take enough Libertarians and youth to defeat Portman. Portman, at the same time, will have to attempt to attract all 3 groups and keep the establishment happy with him, which won't be an easy feat. All in all, Portman may be doomed to lose if he doesn't find a way to attract those 3 specific groups and shake off the establishment.

Cruz: 272/46.4%
Bredesen: 266/47.3%

And that's my election Prediction. Honestly, a lot can change from then to now, but at this point, it looks like it'll be Cruz v Bredesen.

Thoughts?

Patrick (and probably Sestak) would be favored in their home states if the're still in the race.

Unless the slush fund is continuesly talked about.

Could we also get polling for South Carolina, Nevada, and Florida for both parties, so we know how each Candidate is doing in those vital early primary states?

Can we do Candidate interviews?

Also, I reccomend writing up the next turn's National and State Polls as well as the debates today so you can post them all at once tomorrow.

Candidate interviews can only be done for candidates over 15% in the national polling, and its one per term.

So someone like Bredesen and Cruz can have interviews and those might boost the Candidate in several Polls?

Why is everyone attacking Patrick? He is at 7% and attack ads hurt the other candidate too sometimes

Politics is a dirty, dirty business. No matter how high or low you are in the Polls, if you have scandals and something to be discussed, then expect to be attacked on it. It'll also be possible that doing such a thing is a Kamikaze move, in which a candidate is going down but they take someone down with them. It can happen, though it's rare.

But why not when later near the caucus and primary so the attacks could be fatal to the campaign

Knock them out quickly. At the same time, Patrick practically left himself wide open. Had he not attacked Bredesen when he was so low in the Polls, then he would've been seen as a better Candidate.

RIP any chance of a Bredesen and other Democrat candidacy unless the Emails and Benghazi still happened.

They did since it is the same thing except candidates

Maybe you shouldn't play as Hillary at this time. You can choose Gov. John Kasich, Sen. Marco Rubio, Gov. Andrew Cuomo, or Sen. John Edwards, as I don't think anyone wants the hot potato Hillary Clinton had.
