Anyone else having issues with Dave's Redistricting App?

Every time I try and open it it says to install silverlight. I've already installed it and yet I run into the same issue. Ive tried it on Firefox, IE, and Chrome. No success.

Any tips?

Same thing happening to me -- Googled Silverlight tips but nothing worked. Thought it was my laptop, tbh, but this makes me think that maybe it isn't

I had this issue, too. I had to install an old version of Firefox on my computer. I can send the details once I'm on my personal laptop later.

Problem solved:

Silverlight apparently only works on Internet Explorer and nothing else it seems.

DRA is very unreliable on MSIE, it crashed when I was almost done with a GA map. Didn't even tell me it crashed, just froze. It's like I have to save when I'm not even done, which is like time traveling back over 10 years.

Tried to do GA again, went to save the final copy of my districts, MSIE immediately crashes. It doesn't want me to do GA. (edit: finished GA)

DRA runs like my old Windows 9x machine from 20 years ago. Always crashing just when you haven't saved yet. Just pooped itself while trying to put the finishing touches on IL.

I saved a OH map I really liked over an older backup, and MSIE crashed and oh.drf has DISAPPEARED. Did DRA just delete my map out of spite? I hate that this thing is the only option for serious redistricting. Worse yet, I'd be willing to bet all of you have some sort of special way of getting it to run better or know a way to make it crash less. Of course, I'll never find out. 😡
