I fully understand Ukraine's desire to get rid off that clown, but why on earth we let him in?

Emperor Tiechewer strikes again! I wonder if he'll advance westward so much that eventually reach Georgia again.

At this point, might as well get some slight adjustments to his birth certificate and have him run in the other Georgia.

What a shocker - another oligarch 'outsider' politician turns out to be an authoritarian thug. I hope Poroshenko gets kicked out in 2019. Honestly even Tymoshenko would be better than him.

Well, I guess you're really into incompetent morons running your state. In which case you should totally move to Poland.

Wouldn't mind moving to Poland, but I disagree with the idea that Saakashvili and his government were "incompetent morons". Saakashvili had an authoritarian streak, but he delivered the economic growth Georgia badly needed and still needs, and he completely eradicated low-level corruption, which is cancerous to developing countries. What's more, he actually had a long-term view (perhaps even too much so) when making policy, and he was not just in it for himself. He made terrible mistakes, most importantly the 2008 war and the number of people that were imprisoned during his tenure, and it was time for him to go in 2012 -- which he did, another big achievement of his: the democratization of Georgia. But all in all I think he should be viewed as a visionary leader, someone whose negative traits would be restricted by the Dutch system of checks and balances while his good traits could be incredibly useful and his way of looking at things could be refreshing. Saakashvili 2021!

He's a man calling for Paolo Sorrentino to make a film of his life.
