Not any more damage than Bill Clinton did to her 18 years earlier.

Probably at least 77,744 votes worth (which is enough to flip PA, WI and MI to Hillary).
Yeah, but what if those 77,744 votes were distributed across states like Oklahoma and West Virginia, where the extra votes wouldn't have made  a difference?

Sanders performed quite well in those 3 states during the primary (winning MI and WI, to boot).

A decent amount. His half-ass endorsement led to way too many of his supporters voting third party or staying home.

How is endorsing her and campaigning for her half-assed?

This was my biggest problem with Bernie during 2016 season. He had all right to run for the nomination, but once she became presumptive nominee it was, well, not very helpful for the party to hold on with his endorsement.

This is one of the most ridiculous responses to a question I have ever read.

Sanders never indicated he would NOT support Hillary.  He endorsed her promptly, campaigned for her faithfully, encouraged his supporters to do the same, and pounded away at Donald Trump down the stretch.  This, after the DNC rigging the rules against him on her behalf.

In 1972, lots of Democrats would do no more than say they were "voting the Democratic ticket" if that.  Many said they'd vote for McGovern, but not campaign for him or ask anyone else to.  Many said they were neutral, or avoided the question.  Many of these folks encouraged voters to split tickets to save themselves, and many of them made it a point to emphasize their differences with McGovern while on the stump.

Does that sound like Bernie Sanders's type of support?  Did Sanders pout until deep into October like Clean Gene McCarthy did, waiting until the very end to endorse Humphrey in 1968?  Did he make statements like Sen. Herman Talmadge did in 1972, saying how he found himself "poles apart" from the Democratic nominee?

Sanders was downright gracioius to Hillary Clinton.  It wouldn't have been a good move for Sanders to have NOT endorsed Hillary, but she would have deserved such a rebuke.

Bernie and Hillary were practically having tea during the primaries. The democratic primary in 2016 was one of the nicest competitive presidential primaries I've ever seen.

Obama and Hillary was a far, FAR more vicious primary than Bernie and Hillary, and so was Trump vs 16 other Republicans.

He saved her bacon if anything by forcing her to actually fight a bit and define her positions.

Just look what happened to Gore after getting pretty much no challenge at all!

If Gore had a primary fight like Hillary did he probably loses WI, NM , OR , IA, and maybe PA as well

He had Bradley. Bernie probably doesn't do that well against Gore in 2000 considering that the Democratic party under the Clinton Coalition was considerably to the right of what it became post-Obama.

Enough of his supporters in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania voted for Jill Stein to allow Mussolini to win there.

For every Democratic Stein voter there were two dozen more that stayed home. For good reason.

But, of course he did damage – minimal compared to the amount of damage Trump did to Clinton, however.
