It's hard to tell if Trumpism has had an effect on the economy yet. Most of the graphs in the attached link show little effect thus far.

An elevated stock market is most likely not a true indicator of the economic conditions associated with favourable foreign trade.

Therefore, China is still stealing the golden egg from underneath the goose, so to speak.
