Something has changed this time:

Enterprise, Alamo, National will no longer give NRA members discounts on car rentals

First National Bank of Omaha will stop issuing NRA Visa card

This is truly interesting. I lived my entire life seeing these mass shootings and now, at 21, the tides are starting to turn against the gun lobby.

The NRA will only radicalize further, it's a self fulfilling prophecy by this point.

The strange thing is that companies were doing this in the first place.

Nothing from the blue avatars? I actually just returned a rental car to Enterprise yesterday. I'll have to write them a double thank you note now Smiley

I was afraid it was going to be Goldman Sachs, Halliburton, Sinclair Broadcast Group, and CNN.

Why were NRA members receiving discounts on car rentals in the first place?

Sounds almost like AAA.

Why were NRA members receiving discounts on car rentals in the first place?
Enterprise rents more cars, and the NRA can provide a tangible membership perk to improve retention.

Lots of organizations negotiate this kind of perk.  AARP is one.

So, if someone tries to carjack me, will the NRA send somebody out to shoot them, or am I expected to do that myself.

Yeah this stuff is pretty standard but other companies will come along to fill in any void.

This is a positive development.

10% discount if you show your membership card at Braum’s!

Maybe QVC can fill the gaps.

These companies have determined that supporting the NRA is less profitable than not doing so. Hardly a grand moral gesture.

Yes, and they made that determination based on public (customer) sentiment. It doesn't need to be moral.

These companies will not only lose their NRA member's dollars but gun owners (like me) who don't belong to the NRA but hate these PC/feel good measures.   In the end, they'll lose $$$ but who care, they deserve it.  Liberals march, we speak with our wallet full of In God We Trusts.

good. Doesn't make sense why they were just getting discounts in the first place.
