May I suggest a different color? Yellow is too hard to see and making it gold would be the same as my colors, lmao

For the divisions, I suggest maybe making a fourth "Central Division" so we can balance them without placing teams in the wrong region.

Also, got rid of the divisions for now, once we get (24)? teams, I'll close up shop and set up the divisions

This looks like a great idea! I want to join the fun, with a Puerto Rican team of course. They deserve some representation.

Deleted my initial team. Figured it was a bit too "rated R".

By the way, this is a map of where the 24 teams are (minus Puerto Rico):

I think that of the remaining 5 teams, there are essentially three regions we should try to fill: The Deep South gray patch, the Mid-Atlantic/Rust Belt gray patch, and the Four Corners Area. Having one more in the MO/IA/KS/NE area might be good too.

Thanks for the map!

If we don't get enough teams by say tomorrow, we can always just create a few "bot" teams that no one player manages but are established in areas that are currently lacking in teams.

Relatedly, once we have our teams but before we start, will you allow us to make trades, etc.?

The way the simulator works is that it allows you to match two teams from any year up against each other, and it simulates a full game in great detail. It doesn't account for trades or anything like that, so what I plan on doing right now is for this first season randomly assigning each player a team and year, and then based on how this season goes allowing players who were less successful have some sort of control over what team and year they get to choose to in a way simulate our current draft system. I'll also have a schedule up later to get an idea of how the season will run.

Here is a link to the simulator website, feel free to try it out and comment with any ideas you have to make the system of assigning players teams the fairest/best it can be.

Original idea was to have this team in St. Louis, MO, so if you want to change it to that, I'm fine with it.
Also, how will this work?

Too bad the old hockey team went bankrupt, but hey, now I can steal their name!

I just noticed the colors are the same as Granite City. Let me think for a while.

So here's what I suggest:

4 divisions of 6

"Fremont Division"
San Francisco
Seattle
Anchorage
Las Vegas
Minnesota
Jackson

"Lincoln Divison"
Hartford
Brunswick
Oyster Bay
Grand Rapids
Portland
Tinley Park

"Southern Division"
Caguas
Miami
Greenville
Charlotte
Memphis
Washington

"Central Division"
Dallas
Fort Worth
Louisville
Granite City
Kansas City
Remaining Team 2 (If a West Coast team instead, can shift Minnesota, if a Northeast team, shift Tinley Park, if Southern, shift Memphis)

We just need 1 more team.

What do you think of the divisions I set above?

Also, I figured out a possibility for how we can do the "draft": For the first year, assign everyone a random year. For the next year, give the last place franchise 6 different random team-year combinations to choose from. Give the next few teams 5 to choose from, and so on and so forth. The best finishers would only get 1 random team (or perhaps we could even have everyone else try to select the worst team out of 2 or 3 for them).

(also DFL, you have a lot of color updates and some name updates to do.)

A third DFW-area team would be a bit much...would you be willing to make it in New Orleans or Atlanta instead? (Or Houston, but not as ideal)
