The Kurds are western friendly and non-fanatical Muslims, why shouldn't they have their own independent state? They could help America f!ck up Al-Qaeda, Bashar Al-Assad, and Russia.

Why would you want to f!ck up Assad and Russia? Besides, the Syrian Kurds are allied with Assad and Russia as well as with the United States.

The Iraqi Kurds are aligned with Turkey and thus could not be counted on to help fight ISIS.

Experience suggests that it would only lead to more turmoil. Especially if you try and glue all the Kurdistans together in some sort of Frankenstein abomination, like some people suggest.

I think, even if all four win independence, it would require a pretty decentralized confederation dominated by the Syrian and Turkish Kurds to keep them from being a Turkish puppet.

I support a full restoration of the Ottoman Empire as an alternative
