I don't know if people have noticed, but almost every country is doing this - type "defence budget" and some prominent country into Google you'll get results showing that military spending is going up (aside from us, apparently): the US, Germany, Japan, Russia, China, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, France , Turkey, Spain, Sweden etc.
