Strategic Vision Poll:

In a match-up between the Democratic nominee, United States Senator Jon Corzine and Republican Doug Forrester, the results were Corzine 47%; Forrester 36%; Other candidates 2%; and 15% undecided.

The poll found that Corzine was viewed favorably by 44% of the respondents with 40% viewing him unfavorably; and 16% undecided.

Forrester was viewed favorably by 37% of respondents with 35% viewing him unfavorably; and 28% undecided.

When asked if they were satisfied with the two candidates running or would they prefer someone else to run for Governor, 35% said they were satisfied; 52% said they would prefer other candidates; and 13% were undecided.

"We suck." -- A GOP County Chairman, lamenting Doug Forrester being 18 points behind, George W. Bush's  N.J. approvals, Alex DeCroce's Assembly campaigns, and Michael Chertoff's performance during Hurricane Katrina.  (09/13/05)

I think Corzine will surprise many people and be an excellent governor. From what I've seen of him, he is progressive and  truly cares about his constituents.

If he cares about his constituents he will appoint Rob Andrews to his vacant Senate seat. We'll see about that one. Roll Eyes

Who are the other candidates in the race?

Ed "NJWEEDMAN.COM" Fortion, and his Lieutenant Gubernatorial running mate, Marshall Spevak.

Anybody else?  If so then those are three horrible candidates running.  I would be forced to cast a write-in vote for Whitman if I lived in NJ.
