Which state would you choose?

I’d choose Idaho, no doubt about it.

Ohio has civilization. Honestly it's the most underrated state on this forum, and one of the most underrated states in the whole union. Idaho has one or two small cities and that's about it. Idaho has decent potatoes, but it also has the incredibly culturally backwards east and other assorted oddballs in the wilderness. Moscow is an OK little town, or so I've heard, but it's represented by a global warming denialist.

State Sen. Dan Foreman? He’s an absolute lunatic. Or are you talking about Raul Labrador?

But Northern Idaho is a great place - Coeur d’Alene especially. Never traveled down to eastern Idaho, but I wouldn’t want to live there.

Ohio, especially since I have a family connection there.   but I'm sure parts of Idaho would be nice to live in also.

Idaho. As a crime analyst for a podunk county, or as a community college instructor, working part-time for the parks department.

Idaho doesn't have places like Dayton, so it I guess.

Ohio on balance, but if I had grown up on the Left Coast, I probably would've packed my bags and moved to Idaho (or Utah) as soon as I could (i.e. probably for college) and never returned except for visits.

Ohio has some pretty cool cities and awesome suburbs. Not to mention a lot of diversity and job opportunities accompanied by one of the country’s lowest COL. I give my vote to Ohio easily.

Ohio. Idaho is too white, too rural, and too conservative.

Boise is maybe the most underrated city in the country.

Second perhaps only to Columbus. Wink

Columbus is a great city.  Very weird municipal boundaries though.
