A new internal poll from the Cox campaign has Newsom and Cox basically tied in a general election race. There's not much information included about the poll, so take it with a grain of salt.

I have doubts. Simply because of "ideological coloration of electorate": California became too liberal for conservative Republican, like Cox, to have a chance. He will not have enough crossover support.
