I think this bill is necessary because it will lower the cost of flying for Atlasian consumers by adding more competition to the market. This bill will grow the economy by increasing access to air travel to more people which will boost commerce and consumer spending thus leading to more jobs all across the economy being created.

I certainly see nothing wrong with increasing competition in the Market, I will vote for this bill.

Generally speaking I'm all for it, we should allow for further competition and there's really no reasoning for a monopoly which doesn't appear to be offering much in terms of quality.

The only concern I have, and I'd be grateful if Louisville or 1184AZ could expand a bit on that, is the potential loss of Atlasian jobs when it comes to our domestic airlines, losses which at a first glance might number on the thousands. I suppose the question to be asked is, would the benefits of this bill clearly outweigh any potential job losses?

Is it the author's position that this bill would say require UAE airlines to pay minimum wage?

For employees working in Atlasia yes. The main goal is to ensure that we require foreign airlines to follow Atlasia safety laws.

Amendment adopted. Unanimous consent applies to the 72 hour requirement, I assumed you meant cloture?

In the meantime I'll propose a final amendment, mostly because I'm concerned about the effect of this taking passage ASAP without the foreign and domestic airlines having time to prepare:

Cloture is 2/3s. I was trying to do the unanimous one where if debate stops and no one objects in 24 hours you proceed to a vote.

Oh! Oh, that explains it, I usually consider that as a final vote.

I think I better outline how I consider the call for each vote as PPT so we can both do this more efficiently:

I consider "unanimous consent" as Article 4.1, pertaining only to the "waive the 72-hour requirement" situation; "cloture" involves 4.4 with the two thirds situation; and a call for a "final vote" I understand as waiting 24 hours for objections and then moving to a vote. I'd ask you to follow that if possible mostly for the sake of mutual understanding.
