If Steyer and/or all of these other liberal billionaires want to do something that's actually worth a damn, they could start by buying out these s[inks]tty media companies.
Steyers money would be better spent trying trying to lobby the Democrats in Congress to repeal the 1996 Telecommunications Act and have an entirely new law written up that includes the fairness doctrine and hefty penalties for news stations and newspapers that intentionaly lie or distort the news. Media companies should be regulated stiringently like in every other normal industrialized company and licences should be revoked for Sinclair and Fox News like garbage.
Companies like Fox News should not be allowed to call themselves News if their just entertainment. At the very least, they should be forced to run a disclaimer that it's all bullshít
