Do you think schools should punish students for having cigarettes in their bags?

It's pretty easy to hide a pack of smokes, I don't see how it could become a problem for our young smokers.

Still, that implies intent to smoke, right?

I always left my cigarettes in the car. Never got in any real trouble because of that.

FP, school isn't the place for smoking, leave them in your car, and smoke after school.

When you say "school", you mean institution with persons under the age of 18? If so, solid FP, as it's illegal to smoke below the age of 18. Period.

Also, even if people are old enough to smoke, don't. It's a really bad life choice with serious consequences. The only way I can partially understand someone smoking is if they are already addicted, but even then, they need to attempt to end their addiction as soon as possible.
