It isn't as if they are going to officially say that it is gone but the writing is on the wall. The Speaker of the House is leaving, there have been multiple retirements in competitive districts and there is a clear enthusiasm gap.

Ground operations are highly useful and can be the difference in narrow wins. Canvassing and phone banking allow you to zero in on voter turnout better than ads or mailers.
